ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. — The Chicago Bears met with officials in Arlington Heights again on Monday about a possible move.The meeting involved the new Bears president and CEO Kevin Warren and was organized by Touchdown Arlington, a coalition of Arlington Heights business owners who support the Bears' move to town."This is a once-in-a-lifetime proposal that will boost the region's economic engine, create thousands of jobs and generate millions of dollars in future tax revenues for Arlington Heights and the region," the pro-Bears coalition said in a release announcing the meeting.The Bears purchased Arlington International Racecourse and started tearing down the grandstand jockey and office buildings in late May. CHICAGO — A man has been charged after being arrested for allegedly stabbing a woman near Grant Park.Joshua Shaw, 43.According to the Chicago Police Department, 43-year-old Joshua Shaw has been charged with one felony count of aggravated battery and use of a deadly weapon after he was arrested in the 900 block of South Michigan Avenue around 8 p.m. Saturday.Police said he was identified as the man who, minutes earlier, stabbed and seriously injured a 25-year-old woman in the 1100 block of South Michigan Avenue.Responding officers then located Shaw and placed him into custody. ST. LOUIS - Police are investigating a triple shooting Monday night.According to the spokesperson for the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, they received a call just before 8 p.m. for a shooting at the intersection of Gibson and Tower Grove avenues in the Forest Park Southeast neighborhood. A man and woman were pronounced dead on the scene. Another woman was shot and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. Her conditions are unknown at this time. Police claim the victims knew each other.The cause of the shooting is still under investigation. However, police believe an altercation between the victims led to the shooting. Two guns were recovered on the scene. This is a developing story. Three of the four victims killed in a fiery single-car crash early Saturday morning on the 5 Freeway in Downey have been identified as United States Marines stationed at Camp Pendleton. According to a release from the California Highway Patrol, the single vehicle crash involving a 2018 Dodge Charger happened around 2:30 a.m. on the southbound span of the 5 Freeway south of Lakewood Boulevard. OAKLAND — A 41-year-old woman has been arrested and charged with murder in connection with a May 30 homicide where there may be at least two other suspects, police said.Yaeko Payne, whose city of residence wasn’t immediately available, has been charged with murder, assault with a deadly weapon, and possessing a gun as a felon in connection with the death of 49-year-old James Rodriguez. She is being held without bail in Santa Rita Jail in Dublin and has not yet entered a plea, court records show.Police say that Rodriguez, who went by Jaime, met with Payne and two other people a little before midnight on May 30.
